Want to know how to borrow an eBook? How to use online Library resources?
Sign up for a free, one-to-one, 30 minutes training session tailored to the area where you need help, including eBook downloads for various devices, eResources, email accounts, the public library catalogue or basic computer training. Call your local branch to book your tutorial.
Library Outreach Services
Partnership with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB)
By working together, the CNIB and the SD&G County Library can now provide FREE access to Canada’s largest collection of alternative format books and online resources for people who have difficulty reading print due to a visual, physical or learning disability. In addition to providing access to CNIB materials, the Library is also able to facilitate registration to the CNIB Digital Library. Contact your local branch to register.
Visiting Library Service
If you are temporarily or permanently homebound, the Library will deliver books to you or you can have books picked up by a friend, family member or neighbor. Contact your local branch to register.
Outreach to Seniors
The Library can visit you at the retirement home or seniors centre! Contact your local branch to find out what programs are currently available in your area.
Pop Up Library
The Library is travelling out of the branch and into your community. Visit us to get a library card, listen to Story Time, play with new technology and learn about all the services the Library offers. Check the Library website, www.sdglibrary.ca for further upcoming dates or contact Erika at 613-936-8777 to bring the Pop Up Library to your event.
