Each station houses one pumper, one heavy rescue unit and one tanker truck with the required emergency equipment. The department delivers the following services:
- Fire suppression and property conservation;
- Fire prevention public education;
- Ontario Fire Code fire inspections and enforcement;
- First response with defibrillator;
- Ambulance assistance;
- Auto Extraction (heavy hydraulics);
- Hazardous Material Response (Awareness Level 1) ; and
- Shore base water rescue.
Through Mutual Aid, the department also provides assistance to neighbouring fire departments when required.
In addition to maintaining their training requirements, fire department volunteers are also involved in education and fire prevention. Their involvement includes annual Trade Show exhibits, involvement at the Stormont County fair, the Antique Car Show, smoke alarm program, fire extinguisher program, fire prevention coloring contest and fire safety knowledge with the local schools, day care centers and a public education program for seniors.
