Parks and Recreation

The South Stormont Parks and Recreation Department is proud to work with a variety of organizations and volunteers to offer a wide range of facilities and programs to serve both local residents and visitors looking for recreational activities.

Since the development of the Recreation Master Plan in October 2007, the Township has focused on a number of strategic projects.  The focus of these projects has been to preserve current facilities with timely renovations while enhancing recreational activities through new programs and construction of additional amenities. A number of these maintenance and new construction projects were made possible through combined efforts of community support, provincial and federal grants, corporate donations, and tax dollars raised through annual municipal budgets.

South Stormont has a strong volunteer base with a commitment to offer a wide variety of activities and programs for those of all ages.

We invite you to spend some time with us and experience the many activities and programs that we have to offer.

The Township is proud of on-going improvements in our recreation programming and facilities.  For more information about the future of this department, take a peek at the Recreation Master Plan and also, Phase II Recreation Development Plan.
