Sport For Life supported by RBC Learn to Play

The Sport for Life program encourages children to get active, develop their Physical Literacy and allow them to move with competence and confidence in a wide variety of sport opportunities. This Physical Literacy program aligns with the Long Term Athlete Development Model outlined by Canadian Sport For Life. The program will be focusing on Fundamental Movement Skills (run, jump, throw, catch, strike, dodge) with the goal of creating individuals who are Active for Life. This will give children the opportunity to engage in physical activity in a multisport non-competitive environment. As a successful recipient of an RBC Learn to Play Grant, new equipment has been purchased and healthy snacks will be provided at the end of each session. Parents will also have the opportunity to take the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) in Fundamental Movement Skills for free!
