The Township’s Public Works Department is also responsible for the maintenance and replacement of municipally owned vehicles and equipment. The Municipality has a replacement strategy for our public works vehicles and emergency response vehicles. Our purchasing practices ensure that the best and most appropriate equipment is available for each Department’s needs.
Public Works is cognizant of the desire to minimize our ecological foot print. We have implemented a “no-idling” policy, and are staying current on fuel technologies and will implement alternate fuels as they become economically viable.
