South Stomont’s 2nd Annual Fun Run/Walk (June 3)

Thank you to everyone that participated and supported our 2017 Fun Run Event! The total amount raised was $1,646.00! We hope everyone enjoyed the event and had a chance to check out the new washroom building.

Multicultural Festival – Parade of Nations (June 10)

Parade Start: Arnold Bethune Memorial Park (75 Simcoe Long Sault) at 10:30 AM. Official Multicultural Festival opening upon completion of parade at the Long Sault Arena

Parade End: Long Sault Arena

Cost: Donation toward Parade of Nations for Developmentally Challenged Activities and Dream Realization Project

South Stormont Senior Support Centre – Canada 150 Luncheon (June 29)

What: Celebrate Canada’s 150th – Summer BBQ Guest Speakers: Birding in Canada with Madeline & Hans Van Der Zweep

When: Thursday, June 29 at 11 AM

Where: South Stormont Senior’s Support Center

Cost: $7 includes a Burger, Salads and Dessert

Ault Park (Lost Villages Museum) - JULY 2

10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

-        Live entertainment

-        Strawberry social and community barbecue

Arnold Bethune Park (Long Sault Ball Diamond) - JULY 2

2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

-        Bouncy castles

-        Live entertainment and patio at O’Neill’s Pub

-        Community displays and vendors

-        Huge Canada 150 firework display at dusk

All events at the park are FREE but donations will be accepted towards the firework display.  Additional parking for this event will be made available in the park with access on Saunders Avenue

Canada 150 at the Cornwall Motor Speedway (July 2)

When: Sunday, July 2 racing starts at 6:30 PM

Where: Cornwall Motor Speedway (16981 Cornwall Centre Rd.)

What: 50 – Lap Ultimate Pro Stock Series, 40- Lap Modified, 25-Lap Street Stock Series, Complete Race Program (No Novice Sportsman), Autograph Night

Cost: Adult $20, Pitt $30, Senior $10

Ingleside Firefighter Challenge (July 15)

What: BBQ, beer garden, free children's activities including inflatables, pony rides, children's firefighter challenge, face painting, firefighter challenge. 

Where: Ingleside Shopping Plaza 

When: Live entertainment from 6:00 p .m. to 1:00 a.m.

Cost: Free but donations will be accepted with proceeds from the event to benefit the Ingleside Firefighter’s Association

Canada 150 in St. Andrews West (August 19-20)

What: The St Andrews Knights of Columbus will be hosting a major party for Canada's 150th birthday. Plans are in the works for great food, fun and activities for the whole family. Bouncy Castles, Dancing under the stars and fireworks, car show and more family-friendly fun.

When: August 19 at 11:00 AM – August 20 at 6:00 PM

Where: St. Andrews West Church/Rink

Cost: All money made from the event by the Knights of Columbus is donated right back to area charities.

Stormont County Fair (September 1-4)

Where: 23 Fairgrounds Dr, Newington

When: September 1-4

What: Flower Special, Culinary Arts, Parade, Opening of Time Capsule, Fireworks, English & Western Horse Show

Cost:

Friday: Adults $15, 12 and under FREE (when accompanied by an Adult)

Saturday, Sunday, Monday: Adults $8, children 12 and under FREE (when accompanied by an Adult)

Complete Weekend Pass: Adult/Teen $30.00
