County Road 2 Long Sault Improvements : Notice of Second Public Information Centre Meeting

The United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry is conducting an Environmental Assessment (EA) to examine County Road 2 from Robin Road to 250 m west of the intersection of County Road 35. The study will assess improvement alternatives within the Study Area.  round_about_study_area.jpg

The study will document the transportation need for improvements to County Road 2 in the community. The Recommended Plan will address current and future operational needs considering all modes of travel.  The roadway improvements will be compatible with the Township’s Community Improvement Plan (CIP).

The project is being planned as a Schedule ‘B’ project under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2007) document, as amended in 2011. 

The EA Study will confirm the project need and justification, document existing environmental conditions, examine alternatives and define the preferred roadway design. This information will be presented on display boards at a second PIC meeting to be held:

 Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Town Hall:2 Mille Roches Road Long Sault, ON 4:00 – 7:00 pm 

There is an opportunity at any time during the EA process for interested persons to provide comments.                                                         
Any comments received pertaining to the study will be collected under the Environmental Assessment Act and, with the exception of personal information, will become part of the public record.
