Kelly Conroy of Harrison's Corners made her mark in high school and varsity sports.

At Tagwi Secondary School, she was a member of the Senior Girls Volleyball and Basketball Ontario Championship teams, and also excelled in basketball, soccer and the javelin throw.

Kelly was awarded a 4 year athletic scholarship at St. Lawrence University, where she was the volleyball and basketball MVP in her senior year, was named to the all-conference teams, and was co-winner of the SLU Senior female Athlete of the Year award.

After university, she became a member and captain of the Ottawa North Stars AA Senior Women's Hockey team, which won the Ontario provincial championship in 1998 and a bronze medal at the Eastern Canadian hockey championships.
