Linden Wells Track & Field, Hockey, Softball Inducted: 2010
At the age of fourteen Linden played for the Aultsville Senior Men's softball team in the Eastern Ontario playdowns. Linden was an excellent centre fielder and a strong hitter. He played for Courtaulds when they won two straight league championships in the North End Fastball League. During a typical summer Linden would play more than 120 games in Ontario, Quebec and New York State. He would claim the batting championship in the North End Fastball League and also won the Home Run King at the Knights of Columbus tournament in Massena. Linden was also an avid hockey player, playing for numerous junior teams and later joined the senior ranks with the Lake Placid Roamers and Cornwall Emard Petros. Linden would finish his hockey career playing for the South Stormont Countymen of the old timer league. Today, Linden is carrying on his father's tradition of harness horses. He has a standardbred racing stable in partnership with his sons and also owns the "Old Aultsville Stable", both of which race in the Toronto area on the WEG (Woodbine Entertainment Group) Circuit.
