Areas of Nominations
A person may be nominated as a participant in a sport (athlete, coach, manager, organizer or any combination of these) or as a sports builder (developer or promoter).
Basic Requirements
Nominees must meet at least one of the following requirements in order to be considered for the South Stormont Sports Hall of Fame:
- they lived in South Stormont for 5 years and
- they participated in sports in South Stormont
Submissions should include the following items:
- A history of the person's involvement including the years in which the person was involved, specific dates of achievements and levels of competitions such as local, district, provincial, Canadian and international
- Supporting documentation such as newspaper clippings, pictures, awards received, championships, records set, ...
Nominations for the South Stormont Sports Hall of Fame are accepted year round. The deadline for submissions for Inductees is May 1, 2012 and for Student nominations is June 1, 2012.

It is important to include documentation such as newspaper or magazine articles, pictures, certificates, etc. Photographs would be appropriate. Comments from other individuals (league representatives, coaches. team members) would also be valuable as selection committee members may not be familiar with the nominee.
