The Township of South Stormont continues to collaborate and follow the direction of the Eastern Ontario Health Unit to promote social distancing measures and ensure the health and safety of our residents and staff.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the following changes and updates were made on July 16,  2020. Also, please visit the Township's Parks and Recreation Re-Opening page for more details on what is open and closed during this time.

Play Structures, Picnic Tables and Benches will open on Friday, July 17.

Please remember

  • Physical distance with those outside of your social circle.
  • Wear a mask if physical distancing is not possible.
  • Sanitize your hands before and after using the play equipment.

Indoor Facilities

As part of the Province of Ontario's Stage 3 of re-opening, they have allowed for indoor recreation facilities to open. South Stormont has been working with the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) in order to open facilities safely while following the guidelines of the Province of Ontario and the EOHU. South Stormont's indoor recreation facilities will remain closed until at least August 31, this includes the Long Sault Arena, Community Hall, and Meeting Rooms. More information will be provided as we prepare to open. Thank you for your patience.
