Remembrance Day Ceremonies

The two Royal Canadian Legion branches that service our community will be hosting Remembrance Day Ceremonies to commemorate the men and women who lost their lives and served our country.

Long Sault Legion Branch 569:

The Long Sault Legion Branch will hold their annual Remembrance Day Ceremonies on Sunday, November 9th, 2025.

At 9:45am, the parade will march from the Ingleside Fire Hall to the Ingleside Cenotaph to commence the service at 10:00am. Following this service, the parade will form up at the Lost Villages Museum on Fran Laflamme Drive, off Highway 2, east of the church. The parade will then march to the cenotaph for the service, which is scheduled to commence at 11:00am. Mayor Bryan McGillis will lay the wreaths on behalf of the Township at both the Ingleside ceremony, and the Lost Villages Museum ceremony.

Following the Lost Villages ceremony, sandwiches will be served at the Legion Branch 569 in Long Sault (7 Frost Ave.).

Finch Legion Branch 357:

There will be only one service for the Finch Legion Branch this year at MacIntosh Park in Berwick on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, at 11:00am. Wreaths on behalf of the Township will be pre-laid at the Newington Cenotaph.
