The Township of South Stormont now offers Lifesaving Society swimming lessons. The equivalencies are listed in each course description under pre-requisites but you may also view the equivalency chart prior to signing in to make your registration process smoother.

The Township of South Stormont will once again offer Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross training through the Lifesaving Society. The course will run Monday-Friday for two weeks at a time.
Each course is $165 ($110 for the course and $55 for the manual)
Bronze Medallion Session 1 - June 29 through July 10
Bronze Cross Session 1 - July 13 through July 24
Bronze Medallion Session 2 - July 27 through August 7
Bronze Cross Session 2 - August 10 through August 21
Do you want to rent the pool for a birthday party or family gathering? The pool will have availability for rentals from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays in July and August. Please contact the Recreation and Facilities Department to inquire about pool availability or request to rent this facility
Cost: $120 per hour, includes lifeguards
Public Swim and Lane Swim Information
Public Swimming and Lane Swim Programs are available at the St. Andrews West Pool from the end of June until Late August. Online registration is required for all swimming programs. South Stormont Residents can register online as of Monday, May 25 at 9:00 a.m., and non-residents may register as of Monday, June 1 at 9:00 a.m. The $5 drop in fee can be paid by cash at the pool.

Online registration is required for all swimming lessons. South Stormont Residents can register online as of Monday, May 26 at 9:00 a.m., and non-residents may register as of Monday, June 1 at 9:00 a.m. The deadline to register is June 19, 2026.
The Stingray Swim Team is back for 2026. Participants must be at least 6 years of age. Registration will be $75 per child and will include a team shirt, two away swim meets and a swim meet at our home pool.
Tuesday/Thursday Group: Practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Monday/Wednesday Group: Practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Lessons will run Monday-Friday for two weeks at a time for 30-60 minutes depending on the level being completed. Please review the comparison document before registering if you are not familiar with the Lifesaving Society lessons.

Pre-school, Swimmer, and Patrol sessions will be $75.
Bronze Star - $90 per participant
Private lessons will still be available upon request for $150.
