Canada Day Fireworks Rescheduled to August 29th (1)

We're getting a second chance to celebrate!

After our Canada Day fireworks were postponed due to inclement weather earlier this summer, the Township of South Stormont is excited to invite residents and visitors to Canada Day 2.0 at Arnold Bethune Park in Long Sault on Saturday, August 29th, 2026.

Join us for a full day of family-friendly activities before the evening concludes with our rescheduled fireworks display at dusk along the Long Sault Waterfront.

Activities and Entertainment

18-Hole Mini-Putt Course

11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

• $5 per person
• Cash only

Free Family Activities

11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Face painting
• Temporary tattoos
• Crafts
• Inflatable obstacle course

Yard Games

11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

• Free for all ages

Splash Pad

The Long Sault splash pad will be open for visitors to enjoy throughout the day.

Fireworks at Dusk

The highlight of the evening will be the return of our Canada Day fireworks display. Bring your lawn chairs, gather your family and friends, and enjoy a spectacular show along the waterfront as we celebrate our community together.

Parking and Safety Information

We are anticipating a large crowd for the fireworks display. Residents who live within walking distance are encouraged to walk to the event whenever possible.
