Notice Of Public Meeting Draft Plan 01 SS S 2026

Draft Plan 01 SS S 2026

What is being proposed?

The application, known as 01-SS-S-2026 (Long Sault North Subdivision), proposes a new residential development consisting of:

  • 19 lots for semi-detached dwellings
  • 4 lots for single detached dwellings

This would result in a total of 42 residential units.

The plan also includes a block of land intended to serve as an interim stormwater management solution.

Access and Road Connections

To support the development, the proposal includes:

  • An extension of Mille Roches Road;
  • A new internal street within the subdivision; and
  • A temporary turnaround area on McNiff Avenue to accommodate winter maintenance vehicles, which will become a connection to McNiff Avenue once extended in the future.

Zoning and Servicing

The lands are currently zoned Residential Serviced Second – Holding (RS2-h). This zoning permits single and semi-detached homes once municipal servicing is in place. The holding provision ensures that development cannot proceed until services such as water and sewer are available.

What Happens Next?

The application has been circulated by SDG Counties for review. As part of the review process, the Township will hold a public meeting to provide additional information on the proposal and to receive comments from the public.

Comments received through the public meeting will be considered by Township Council prior to providing formal comments to SDG Counties as part of the draft plan of subdivision review process.
