Cogeco Plants Trees at Lakeview Park with the RRCA

Cogeco staff and their family members took part in the telecommunications and media company’s second annual Community Involvement Day by enhancing a local greenspace in South Stormont. The Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) and the Township of South Stormont facilitated the Cogeco staff’s planting of ten white birch trees at Lakeview Park, a riparian area on the bank of the St. Lawrence River. Township Launches Three Student Scholarship Programs

At the Regular Council Meeting of August 10, 2022, Council for the Township of South Stormont approved the creation of the Township of South Stormont Student Bursary Program.

The annual bursary program will see three deserving young people from South Stormont receive $1000 bursaries to be used toward their planned post-secondary education.

Lakeview Park Closed for Swimming

Please note that testing of the water at Lakeview Park has indicated higher levels of bacteria and the water is unsafe for swimming. Additional testing by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit will take place and we will advise when the water is once again safe to enter.
