At the Special Meeting on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, South Stormont Council received and approved a 10-year Long-Term Financial Plan (LTFP) for the Corporation.

Over 200 people gathered on the morning of July 13, 2024 as the Township of South Stormont held a dedication ceremony officially naming a newly constructed outdoor basketball facility in Ingleside after Bob Thompson, a well known community volunteer and retired teacher at the former Rothwell-Osnabruck High School.
