Remembrance Day Ceremonies 2023

The following Remembrance Day Ceremonies have been organized by the two Royal Canadian Legions that service South Stormont:

Long Sault Legion Branch 569:

The Long Sault Legion Branch will hold their annual Remembrance Day Ceremonies on Sunday, November 5, 2023.

Canada Day 2023 in South Stormont

Office Closure

Due to Canada Day falling on a Saturday, the Township Office will be closed on Monday, July 3rd, 2023. 

There will be NO CHANGES to garbage and recycling collection due to the holiday. 

The Trillium Road Landfill will be closed on Saturday, July 1st. 

Celebrations

Two celebrations are scheduled for Canada Day in South Stormont to celebrate. 

Lost Villages Museum

The Lost Villages Museum will host a Canada Day Celebration on-site from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. that includes:

• Live music
• Local Vendors

Citizen Questionnaire Launched to Assist in Development of Strategic Action Plan

This year, the Township will be developing a Strategic Action Plan for 2023-2027!

Township Office Closed Victoria Day

The Township Office will be closed on Monday, May 22, 2023 for Victoria Day. There will be NO CHANGES to garbage and recycling collection due to the holiday.
