The Township Office will be closed on Friday, July 1 for Canada Day. 

Due to the holiday, garbage and recycling collection scheduled for Friday July 1 will be collected on Saturday, July 2. 

The Trillium Road Landfill will be closed on Friday, July 1, but will re-open for regular hours of 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 2. 

Canada Day Celebrations Return to South Stormont!

There are two celebrations in South Stormont scheduled for Canada Day on July 1. 

Lost Villages Museum

Spend Canada Day at the Lost Villages! There will be music, children's activities, barbeque, celebration cake (sponsored by Storm Realty), and local vendors from 10:00am-2:30pm.

11:00am - magician
11:40am - opening ceremonies
12:30pm - music with Kevin Rivette

Olde Fashioned Carnival - Arnold Bethune Park

The Ingleside, Long Sault, Lost Villages Lions Club will be hosting an Olde Fashioned Carnival at Arnold Bethune Park from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Join the community for lots of excitement including live musical entertainment, lots of carnival games and children's entertainment, races like 3-legged race, sack races, and egg races, local vendors, face-painting, and much more. 

Fireworks Display

Finally, to cap off Canada's 155th birthday, we will have our traditional fireworks display at the Long Sault Waterfront!

Fireworks will begin at dusk and take place at the waterfront south of the Long Sault Plaza.
