The Township of South Stormont is currently seeking candidates to fill two (2) vacant positions on the Committee of Adjustment and Property Standards Committee.

Comprised of members of the public and appointed by Council, the Committee of Adjustment has authority under the Planning Act to review minor variances to the Zoning By-law, as well as variances from the Fence and Sign By-laws. The Committee also serves as the Property Standards Committee under the Building Code Act, hearing appeals related to property standards orders issued by the Township.

Appointments will run for the remainder of the current Council term, ending November 14, 2026.

Interested individuals are invited to complete the application form available on the Careers page by Thursday, July 10, 2025. Appointments will be made at the August 13, 2025 Council meeting.
