Public Skating Schedule

Leisurely skate at your own pace with no pucks or nets on the ice. Public Skating is free on behalf of the Township.

Schedule

Monday 10:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.

Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.

Sunday 3:00 p.m. to 3:50 p.m.

Rules for Public Skating

  • Skates are mandatory for anyone entering the ice surface
  • Food, drinks and cellphones/electronics/headsets are not permitted on the ice surface
  • Children under the age of 12 must wear a CSA approved helmet. CSA approved helmets are strongly encouraged for all other skaters
  • Carrying infants or children is prohibited
  • Skate at a safe speed in the same direction as other skaters
  • Rough play, speed or figure skating, foul language, inappropriate behaviour and multiplayer games (i.e. tag and races) will not be permitted
  • Items that may cause a safety concern to other skaters are not permitted. Items may include balls, pucks, sticks, pylons, chairs or skating aids

Exception for skate aids:

  • Skate aids are permitted during Beginner Skate (see below) and weekday Public Skating hours.

Beginner Skate Schedule

This is the perfect time for a youth or adult who is still learning how to skate. Only inexperienced skaters and those helping skaters will be permitted on the ice. Skate aids are permitted. Beginner Skate is free thanks to sponsorship from Adam Beehler Plumbing.

Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. 

Stick and Puck Schedule

This ice time is great for working on your puck control, passing and skating skills. Evening Stick and Puck is free thanks to a sponsorship from Adam Beehler Plumbing. Weekday morning sessions are free as well on behalf of the Township.

Schedule

Tuesday 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.

Please see Public Skating Rules and observe the following:

  • All participants under 12 years of age must be supervised by an adult at all times (Adult to Child ratio: 1 to 2)
  • Full hockey equipment and helmet with cage is mandatory for all participants under 12 years of age
  • Helmets, gloves and skates are mandatory for all participants 12 years and older
  • Hockey games or practices are not permitted
  • For the safety of all users, it is recommended that participants are confident skaters.
