South Stormont Minor Soccer

South Stormont residents may register as of Friday, March 10 at 9:00 a.m. 
Non -residents may register as of Monday, March 20 at 9:00 a.m.

Registration closes on April 13, or when the program is full. Enough players on a waitlist may result in adding additional teams. Minor sports are $75 per child, per sport.

All divisions, determined by the child's birthyear, play at Arnold Bethune Park or Longue Sault Public School. Soccer will run from Monday, May 15 - Tuesday, July 18 (Timbits will begin May 23). This year, everyone is asked to keep the week of July 24 open in case there are more than two weeks cancelled for weather or field conditions.

Timbits (2020) (Born between January 1 and July 31, 2020)

  • Every child is required to have a parent or guardian who is able to assist them on the field 

  • This program is an introduction to the game and will include fun games and drills  

  • Tuesdays May 23 - July 18
  • Sessions will be 30 minutes and start times will rotate between 5:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.

  • Fields beside Long Sault Pentecostal Church, behind the ball diamond

  • Players will receive a ball, team soccer jersey, soccer shorts  and soccer socks. Fit is not guaranteed

  • All other soccer equipment is optional at this level 

2019 Division

  • This program is an introduction to the game and will include fun games and drills   

  • Mondays May 15 - July 17

  • Sessions will be 30 minutes and within the window of 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
  • Fields 6, 7, 8, 9

  • Players will receive a ball, team soccer jersey, soccer shorts  and soccer socks. Fit is not guaranteed

  • All other soccer equipment is optional at this level 

2018 Division

  • This program is an introduction to the game and will include fun games and drills   

  • Tuesdays May 16 - July 18

  • Sessions will be 45 minutes and within the window of 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
  • Fields 6, 7, 8, 9

  • Players will receive a ball, team soccer jersey, soccer shorts  and soccer socks. Fit is not guaranteed

  • All other soccer equipment is optional at this level 

2017 Division

  • This program is an introduction to the game and will include fun games, drills and an introduction to game play

  • This program begins with warm-up drills and concludes with a game each week
  • Tuesdays May 16 - July 18

  • Sessions will be 60 minutes and within the window of 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Fields 3 and 4

  • Players will be given a jersey for the season but must provide their own shorts, socks, shin pads and and soccer shorts  

2011/2012/2013 Division

  • This program has 15 minutes drills and warm up, followed by a 45 minute game each week

  • Mondays and/or Tuesdays May 15 - July 18

  • Sessions will be 60 minutes and within the window of 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Longue Sault Public School Field

  • Players will be given a jersey for the season but must provide their own shorts, socks, shin pads and soccer cleats

2008/2009/2010 Division (Pending Interest)

  • Due to increased demand, South Stormont is opening registration for 2008-2010 birth years. If there are enough players, this will be a new age group.
  • This program has 15 minutes drills and warm up, followed by a 45 minute game each week
  • Mondays and/or Tuesdays May 15 - July 18
  • Sessions will be 60 minutes and within the window of 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

New this year, our minor baseball programs are under Cornwall Minor Baseball (CMB) meaning all registrants are eligible for CMB skill sessions, clinics and Cornwall River Rats All-Star try-outs!

T-Ball

  • Children aged 4-6 as of September 1, 2023. All 2019 birthyears are also welcome.

  • Wednesdays May 24 - July 19

  • All games are played at RO School (1 College St.) in Ingleside between the hours of 5:00 and 7:30 p.m.

Coach Pitch

  • Children aged 6-8 as of September 1, 2023

  • Wednesdays May 17 - July 19

  • All games are played at Ingleside Community Park (60 Farran Dr.) in Ingleside between the hours of 5:00 and 7:30 p.m.

Minor Baseball - NEW THIS YEAR

  • This year, we will have a minor baseball team based out of Ingleside. Home games will be played in Ingleside and away games will be played in Cornwall.

  • Children aged 9-10 as of September 1, 2023

  • Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays May - July

  • Games and/or practices will occur between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Lancer Basketball Programs and Summer Camps

All participants can register for the Spring House League at anytime!

Spring House League

  • A co-ed program with the goal of playing games each week. If there are only three teams, weeks will alternate as practices and games. If we do not get enough for three teams, we will consider running our usual development programming for those who are interested.

  • Tuesdays April 18 to June 6 

  • One hour starting at either 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. each week

  • $40 registration fee

Basketball Camp Ages 9 - 12

  • A co-ed camp to introduce, develop and improve players knowledge and skills in basketball. Primary coach Terry McDonald.

  • July 17 to 21

  • 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

  • $50 registration fee

Rules and Reminders:

  • Pre-registration is required
  • If you bring your own basketball, make sure it is marked as your own
  • Wear athletic attire and bring a water bottle
  • Indoor shoes (that have not been used outside) are mandatory to keep the floors clean and safe
  • If school buses are cancelled or if schools are closed, the facility is closed for that day and there will not be any practices
